Building AI agents from first principles — Lead Data Scientist & AI Engineer.
I am Lead Data Scientist at Optimetriks, where I work on data visualisation, route optimisation, and building AI agents — for example one that enables non-technical teams to autonomously fix bugs and build visualisations for clients, with a focus on safety and observability.
I started researching how AI agents are designed and built, and how everyone can learn to use them effectively in their work. I am especially interested in coming back to first principles and studying the building blocks that power agentic systems.
This field of research is still young and everybody is trying to figure it out at the same time. I take notes on my readings and experiments that I publish here, and I like to discuss and learn from what other people are researching and building in this domain.
